A wonderful week full of music for young and old

Direction: Maurice Steger | Recorder, Chamber Music, Interpretation
Assistants and Guest Lecturer:
Laura Schmid | Recorder, Chamber Music
Martin Zimmermann | Harpsichord, Organ, Chamber Music

The masterclass starts on Sunday 15.7. at 17.00 with a welcome meeting, where we refine the schedule and form the chamber music groups. Subsequently, there will be a dinner together. Start of the lessons: Monday 16.7. at 9.30. The masterclass ends on Friday 20.7. around 16.30. The departure can be planned on 20.7. or 21.7.

We will meet for an intensive masterclass in the wonderful mountain village of Arosa. The focus of the masterclass will be on solo lessons. But there will be the possibility of chamber music, technique training and preparing exams as well. You can register as a soloist or an existing ensemble.

In the masterclass of Arosa, you can meet recorder and early music enthusiasts. There will be pupils (from the age of 12 up), youngsters, students, music lovers, teachers, retired soloists, listeners or passionate laypersons. We will form a group of around 25 interested people. Laypersons are cordially welcome, but it will be a masterclass. This means that every participant will partly have public lessons (mostly accompanied by the harpsichordist). Furthermore, there will be group technique lessons, chamber music, private solo lessons with the assistant, a chamber music day, workshops and time for preparing the music with harpsichord. So everyone will find exciting and informative topics and lessons, which can be booked after the application and acceptance. We will arrange an individual course program for every participant.

Target Audience
Advanced Pupils, Students, established recorder players, music lovers. Besides recorder players, all instrumentalists who like to train their baroque repertoire are welcome. The director will decide together with Arosa Kultur about the acceptance.

Form of Teaching
There will be two categories: pleasure & professional. The public lessons with Maurice Steger will be complemented by the work of the assistants and guest lecturers. The program of the course will be discussed individually.
