On December 12th 2015, Laura Schmid has won the Kiwanis Studienpreis 2016! Beat Gerber, Kiwanis Club Berne, says: “Her virtuosic performance, her body language and her strong personality convinced the jury unanimously.”  

On August 22nd 2013, Laura Schmid played together with the clarinettist Pablo Barragán Hernández her debut concert at the Lukaskirche Lucerne. Both are the winners of the Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes 2013. On July 19th 2013, Laura Schmid played together with Eriko Wakita (harpsichord), Eleanora Erne (baroque cello) and Sam Chapman (theorbo/baroque guitar) at the Musiksommer am Zürichsee.The concert took place at the Kirche St. Peter and Paul on the island of Ufnau.
